Finding Vegan food at Aldi
I have a very old post on my old blog on how to shop at Aldi. For some reason, it’s still doing well, so I decided to do a little update. I made a video so go check that out here. The video all about finding vegan food at Aldi and my $44 Aldi haul.
I wanted to break it down a little bit more in this post. If you’d like to see more like this (or more videos) let me know! I did say it was $35 in the video, but it was actually $44. I did buy a couple of things that I didn’t necessarily need (don’t shop hungry or when a kid is hungry!) so it definitely could have been less.
As I said in the video, my pantry is most stocked for staples like beans, grains, etc. I do like to buy things like this at Aldi, but I already had what I needed in that department. We did need some fresh fruit and vegetables as well as some frozen fruit for smoothies. I always like to check the “produce picks” that are on sale for the week. They are typically substantially discounted.
Some of the products that were on the list were the mandarins, grapes, and avocados. I didn’t go in with a list, so I ended up with a pretty random assortment of items! My son was hungry while we were there, so we did leave with a few snacks that I didn’t plan to buy. Either way, I think $44 was a great price for all of this stuff!
$44 Aldi Haul
Gluten-free pretzels $2.19
Large bags of frozen fruit (3) $3.99 each
Refried Beans (4) $.79 each
Brown rice spaghetti $1.89
Yellow Potatoes $2.99
Applesauce (2) $1.49 each
Avocado (4) $.49 each
Grapes (2) $4.37 for both
Coconut water with aloe (2) $2.99 each
That’s it! I will try to do a bigger Aldi haul sometime in the near future when I need more staple items. If you like the video, make sure to subscribe to the channel.
